Spring is the season of renovation
Time to say enough of procrastination
Of holidays and ‘happy hours’ ended
Of family meetings and reunions completed
Winter was when you made heaps of resolution
And promises and long lists
Remember?
If winter is to hibernate,
Spring is to activate
And it is to pick up from where you left.
Spring doesn’t come invited; it tiptoes like the old lady
Just when you think ‘Oh! how cold it is’
The balmy air seduces you gently
Proclaiming ‘Spring is in the air’, you silly.
Spring is the best lover anybody could have
because who else could but,
Bring forth a breath of fresh anticipation
Invite you for a warm soak and soft relaxation.
Whisper into you things of love
and play with your softest curls.
Share with you its daylight hugs and moonlight kisses
Offer compassion enough to drive you mightily insane.
Spring is the season of lighter moments,
Of new beginnings and enjoyment
It is in the spring, Nature passionately paints
and play host to one its greatest events.
If Winter is to hope
Spring is to endless possibilities
A rare delight indeed it is,
to watch
Blades of grass pop out with joy
Buds emerge and flowers bloom
Life shift to green from brown
When snow melts and water soften
Birds flutter back to their shells
Squirrels step out of their secret dwells
Many a happy birthdays and joyful home comings
Spring’s goodness makes us forgive Winter’s shortcomings.
