INGREDIENTS:
- Coffee – 1 cup (8-ounce cup)
- Brown sugar – 2 tbsp
- Irish whiskey (or any whiskey) – 3 tbsp
- Heavy whipping cream – 2 – 3 tbsp
METHOD:
- THE GLASS – Pre-heat a heatproof coffee mug (8-ounce) by filling with hot water for a few seconds. Once warm, empty the glass.
- THE CREAM – Whip the cream in a bowl.
- THE SUGAR & WHISKEY – Add brown sugar and whiskey in the mug.
- THE COFFEE – Pour freshly brewed hot coffee (make sure it’s really hot!) till the glass is 3/4 full. This will leave some room for the cream. Stir thoroughly till the sugar particles completely dissolve.
- THE UNION – The trickiest part is to get the cream to float on top. So, make sure that your cream is in pourable state, and whip it one last time. Pour the cream slowly over the back of a spoon (this helps to stop it from sinking). Don’t mix; let it just float on top. Sprinkle some nutmeg or cinnamon powder (optional).
Serve it as an evening coffee, with dinner or after dinner. It will take you to a happy place in any which way.
