Potato Circles, is fun and flirty! Keep aside your Alu Dam and Mashed Potato and cook a different flavor today. This is an easy recipe, very tasty and something that will come handy when you’re feeling lazy to cook anything complicated.
INGREDIENTS:
- Potato (big size) – 2 or 3
- Green chillies – 2-3 or more
- Onion (medium size) – 1 (1/2 cup)
- Oil – 2-3 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
METHOD:
- Cut the potatoes in in thin circles, and then wash in running cold water. You can peel the cover, if you want to, but with it is also fine. Red potatoes with its cover taste good.
- Cut the onion vertically, again thinner the better. Same for green chillies.
- Heat oil in a big size flat pan. Put the onion slices. Stir fry for a little while (do not burn it).
- Drop the potatoes, one by one, and spread across the pan. Don’t overcrowd them and make sure to give enough space for all the slices. Put the green chillies. Sprinkle salt and pepper.
- Cook in medium flame until one side gets brown, then turn over and cook the other side
in low flame. Add salt and pepper on this side. Don’t cover the lid. While turning, pick one potato at a time, don’t overcook and make it mushy. - Cook just before eating, and serve hot.
Yield – 2 servings
I have tried this and it is amazing.. but one has to be careful not to burn it..
