This classic oven baked chicken drumsticks is packed with flavor. Just like the way it is supposed to be. An ideal crowd pleaser and perfect for weekend entertaining, your favorite meat is bound to dazzle everybody. So, when’s your next party?
INGREDIENTS:
- Chicken drumsticks – 4
- Store-bought chicken masala (spice) – 2 tsp + ½ tsp
- Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Egg – 1
- Milk – 1 tsp
- Flour – ½ cup
- Salt – to taste
- Pepper – to taste
- Oil – to spray on the foil and chicken
METHOD:
- Wash chicken drumsticks thoroughly and put them in a sealable plastic bag. Add your favorite store-bought chicken masala/tikka/tandoori spice or homemade all-spice mix, along with red chilli powder and a bit of salt (be careful with the amount since most the store-bought spices has salt in them). Rub in with your hands to coat the pieces. Zip the bag and toss the chicken so that the spices get smeared on all the sides. Let it marinade for 15 minutes at room temperature.
- Break an egg in a bowl. Add milk and salt, and beat till it turns pale yellow.
- Spread flour in a large plate. Add ½ tsp of the all-spice mix and toss the plate around.
- Turn on the oven and set it to 400 F.
- Now prepare the tray. After making it water-free, place a baking sheet on it. Grease the aluminum foil with PAM or any other spray oil.
- It is time to pamper the drumsticks! Take a piece, dip it in egg mix, roll it in flour, shake off and place it on the tray. Repeat the same for rest of the drumsticks. After you have lined the chicken, spray a good amount of oil on top of them.
- Once the oven is ready, put the tray inside and cook for 45 minutes to 1 hour. After 40 minutes, take a peek and decide how much more cooking needs to be done.
- Go crunch, crunch, crunch on the chicken!
