Grilled Greens


Asparagus grill is healthy, low in calories and addictive. Get ready to enjoy the crunch in every bite. Greens and grills…awesome twosome!

INGREDIENTS:

  • Asparagus – a medium size bunch
  • Garlic cloves– 4
  • Salt and Pepper – to taste
  • Oil (vegetable/olive or cooking spray) – 2 tsp

METHOD:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degree F.
  • Clean the Asparagus thoroughly in running water. Break off the tough, white bottoms ends with your fingers and peel off a very thin layer of the outer skin, from top to bottom.
  • Pat dry the Asparagus spears and place them on a greased baking sheet.
  • Roughly mince the garlic cloves and sprinkle on the Asparagus, along with some salt and pepper. Now, using your hands mix all of these – the salt, pepper, garlic, Asparagus spears and the oil. Align the stalks in a neat line and place the sheet in the oven. Bake for 12 – 15 minutes.
  • Check after 10 minutes. Take a bite to see if you got the required tenderness and crunch. You can go up to 20 minutes for a really good crunch.
